In this photo, I was hoping to highlight the translucent windows that form at the top, which are areas where the plant has lost some chlorophyll. According to some sites, including The Botanical Society of America, the windows confuse insects that entered the hood and are trying to escape. That sounds like a pretty awesome evolutionary concept!
