While I buy some supplies on Amazon.com, I also like to support small businesses whenever possible. When I first started out, I quickly learned that 1020 trays were a standard-sized, very commonly used tray. One of my pet peeves with these trays is that they crack and split. Because many carnivorous plants like to sit in a few inches of water, that really puts stress on the trays and so they don't last very long. Bootstrap Farmer has amazingly strong 1020 trays that I now prefer over any others. These are the best 1020 trays that I can find. I really like how durable they are, which means less waste overall. I try my best to avoid buying excess plastic (like one-time use water bottles, etc.) and the usual 1020 trays that are flimsy have to be recycled when they crack.
Also, the customer service is great!
Here's are some of my pings in a 1020 tray:
*I joined Bootstrap Farmer's affiliate program and so receive a small percentage of sales made from clicking on my link. I only link products that I have purchased myself and that I would recommend to someone starting out with growing carnivorous plants.
